Woot! so fast, 3 days are gone... and i'm back home... went taipei for the past 3 days... weather there is really good.. is like ranging from 14-17 deg cel.. is chilling but not too freezing for me..
First Day
i went to settle some stuff... after tat went back to hotel and checkin in the evening... i'm staying at Qilin Hotel... it's not a fantastic hotel.. pretty old hotel where they dun use card access to the rooms... they r using keys... my god.. really very outdated... location of hotel is very accessible to travel ard taipei.. the nearest MRT station (Long Shan Si) is like 5 mins walk away... environment of hotel is abit complicated.. too safe to travel alone in the night... hotel is situated in the middle of their so called red light district areas... many hookers in that area.. and plenty of clinics treating STD illnesss... *shake head*
We decided to walk ard taipei if not too far, so tat can sighsee ard as well.. end up walked for more than 30mins to reach Xi Men Ding... Xi Men Ding is like just 1 stop away from the hotel and train only takes less than 2 mins! sigh.. wrong decision made here...
Xi Men Ding is just like our bugis village or heeran.. but is really huge place.. took us quite awhile to complete the whole of Xi Men Ding... is really a great place to shop for the most fashionable things there... from food to clothes to accessories.. u name it.. they have it.. geeessh!! we had our very first bowl of Mee Sua here too... saw plenty of ppl Q-ing, so we join the Q n bought a bowl to share among 4 of us... is the best Mee Sua we ever ate... able to have a bowl of hot Mee Sua in such cold weather is really fantastic!! Ah Zhong Mee Sua is a best try in Xi Men Ding... *thumbs up*
Night time, went Shi Lin Night Market.. the very famous Night market in Taipei... is similar to our pasar malam... selling all sorts of things... we really buy anything from here.... just walked ard and settle our dinner here... we r like some kinda glutton, ordered plenty of different food... hao (oyster) cum xia (prawn) fried egg, oyster mee sua, huge chicken cultet, xiao long bao, guan cai ban, da bing bao xiao bing (literally means big biscuits wrapped small biscuits), ai yu fen bing (a type of dessert), and many more... cant rem wat we ate... really filled our stomach to the maximum..
Afterwhich, we went to Hua Xi Night Market... another interesting place to me.... but compared to Shi Lin, the crowd there is pathetic... *lol* they mainly sell snake and kinky stuff... snake dishes, snake wine, snake medicine, n all sorts! porno is selled openly too... things likve vcd, dvd, magazines, sex toys, etc...
Second Day woke up at 6am, get ready for breakfast... at abt 8am we r already out touring... today we are the typical tourists.. went Zhong Zhen Ji Nian Tang, Lie Ci Tang, Gu Gong Museum, Mao Village, Taipei 101, New York New York, Guo Fu Ji Nian Guan, Tai He Dian Mala Steamboat shop, Tong Hua Street, Dan Shui, Taipei City Hall... super tiring day for my legs.. most of the time walking... but this is also the most enriching day... learn alot of things abt the lifestyle and culture of taiwanese...
Last Day
same thing woke up at 6am.. n went out for breakfast at abt 8am... we ate Mac for breakfast.. is super duper cheap! SGD 3.00 per set... *my god* went Xi Men Ding and search for our chocolates shop.. but not open yet.. so took a train to Zhong Xiao Dun Hua station.. the rest wanna visit Jay Chou's Shop.. *faint* managed to find it without much difficulties.. mostly r collectible items of wat he used or wear for his performances... n went back to Xi Men Ding n grab the chocolates we wanted.. n rushed back to hotel for packing... is like we have only 30mins to pack b4 the driver come n fetch us.. 1130am sharp he's waiting at the lobby... we really make use of the time we had, even right to the very last min... *lol* had our lunch at the airport... food sux big time!!! airport is pathetic!! less than 10 shops in total.. *faint*
reach singapore at almost 8pm... if possible... i dun mind visiting Taipei again.. if wanna know more abt wats happening in taipei.. have to ask me personally.. to blog the entire trip, is simply tooo long... *Cheers*
